I remain, you desire
Just saw this on Fashion Television. Photographer Gabrielle Revere shot Lindsey Wixson during her first fashion week when she was just 15. This girl has one of the most interesting faces in modeling, and these photos are stunning.

Time to pretend
There is a total sequence of events to this blog post. Allow me to explain...

First I came across this photo from a spread in Vogue UK on Who What Wear, and I thought "dayam, I like those sandals". I then attempted to read the fine print on the photo to see who on earth designed those bright strappy beauties (fine print: not so easy to read by the way). After much zooming, squinting and misspelling I managed to decipher that those shoes were designed by Mainson Martin Margiela. A job well done I'd say.
THEN I looked up their Spring 2011 Ready to Wear collection on Style.com, just for fun!
Am I right?! I can honestly say that never foresaw him becoming the inspiration for an entire designer collection at Paris Fashion Week. But that's what is so great about fashion; designers have the ability to draw inspiration from absolutely anywhere... even quirky children's cartoon characters.
Friday
The shapes that your body makes
Jill just moved into a loft with high ceilings, hardwood floors and big windows that let in a ridiculous amount of sunlight. Not only is it an interior decorator's dream, it is also a fashion blogger's dream. So one morning last week we pushed all the furniture aside and pretended to be models/photographers/stylist for a little while. These are just a few of the photos I have had developed so far. More to come!
Monday
Something seems so clear to me.
At first when the whole Sheer Shirt trend started, I did not see myself jumping on the bandwagon. Sometimes new trends just seem so strange, and I could not see myself parading around in a shirt that shows my entire bra and most of my torso. However, I now own at least 5 sheer shirts, so I guess I got over my issues with that... in fact, it now seems weird to wear a completely opaque shirt (ok, that is not a complete fact).

Now I am seeing a lot of sheer skirts around fashion blogs. I don't think that trend has totally hit toronto yet, at least I haven't seen it on the streets (I know it is the middle of winter in Canada, but no one ever said fashion was practical). Either way, it does seem pretty revealing to wear a sheer skirt with no slip underneath. The ladies in these pictures look beautiful and elegant, I just don't know if I would ever be comfortable wearing these outfits. But that's what I thought about sheer shirts, so I guess you never know, right? Perhaps I could be looking at contenders for my first day of school outfit. YOU NEVER KNOW!
It doesn't really matter what Abbey Lee wears, she always looks amazing. The guy in the background seems to agree with me.
This is sheer, but definitely more subtle. MAYBE I could get away with this one at school.
PREDICTION: This time next month, I will own at least 5 sheer skirts.
