Every picture tells a story.

It feels like such a long time ago now, but here are the final shots from the photo shoot I helped out on last month. I am so happy with the way they turned out! My good friend Kayan styled this shoot for a final project for fashion school. She had to adhere to following criteria...

a) hire a professional photographer - Matt Tammaro

b) hire a make-up artist - Katie Leboutillier

c) hire models - Candice and Nicole

d) recruit a quirky assistant who will work for food and clothes - Kendra Thompson

e) pull from clothing stores - Clothes from H&M, Urban Outfitters, Zara, 69 Vintage, Winners, Kimberly Taylor, Aritzia, and American Apparel. Jewelry from Fabrice.

f) have a blast!!! (ok this wasn't part of the assignment... but we did it anyway!)

She also had to have a theme and a story for the editorial. The theme was supposed to be safari, but you know how us girls tend to get carried away with pretty clothing... needless to say, not everything abided by this strict theme. I think the end "story" for this editorial was decided on "City girl goes on safari"... you know, that old folk tale. So here I present to you the final photos, along with my rendition of that classic fable... condensed version.

This is what girls who live in the city look like. They wear nice dresses and are tall and thin and they stand really close together. Typical city girls, am I right?

This city girl works in a trendy office and lives in a loft.

This city girl doesn't work. She lives off her parents money and just walks around looking fierce.

But she is so bored with the hustle and bustle of the city. She needs a change.

Hmm, changing her outfit didn't seem to work. There's only one thing left to do... go on a safari.

If the city girl wears neutral colours, she will blend in with the savanna.

And even though their faces remained nonchalant, the city girls were overjoyed that they still looked sexy, even while on a safari.
